National Trails Day

Submitted by Jane Daniels on Sun, 04/12/2015 - 2:43pm

The Friends of FDR State Park have received a grant to build two bridges which will connect FDR State Park to Baldwin Road near French HIll School. But until we receive a final ok, we cannot build those bridges. But there is other work to be town. There is brush to clear and invasives to trim back along on trail that goes from Near French Hill School near Baldwin Road into FDR State Park.

You don't need experience as to how to clear a trail. We will teach you! If you like gardening or working with your hands you will have fun with people who love to walk and want to increase  walking opportunities in Yorktown. Please join us

Volunteers will need to bring clippers and water. Wear closed toed shoes and work gloves. Bug spray is also a good idea.
