Reports

The Friends had a booth at Support Connection's Support a Walk at FDR Park. We were not allowed to hand out any paper, but did hand out pencils.

It rained the day of the Yorktown Street Fair (Oct 9) and attendance was poor. The Friends shared a double booth with the NY-NJ Trail Conference, Yorktown Trail Town, and Yorktown Land Trust.

Dianne Press reported that she and Rick Fisher have completed the drafts of two intrepretative panels for the National Heritage Area Grant. The third sign will be a map showing where things were in the camp. The fourth sign will highlight CCC accomplishments and the fifth one will be about the mental hospital.

Jane Daniels reported that now we have permission to work on the Recreational Trails Program Grant. She has asked the officers and received permission to spend up to $2,500 on materials for the project.
